When you bring your new pet in to meet us, we examine it for intestinal parasites and heartworms and discuss pet nutrition, spaying or neutering, training and behavioral counseling, dental care (link to: services/pet-dental-care/), and other health care issues. To help you care for your pet, we have specifically designed puppy wellness and kitten wellness programs including a regiment of vaccinations.

Our goal is to help you keep your pet healthy and happy, so we recommend annual examinations, routine vaccinations depending on your pet's risk factors, and we will counsel you on maintaining your pet’s optimal weight. We also recommend year-round flea, intestinal parasite, and heartworm prevention, such as Revolution and Simparica Trio.

To enhance your dog or cat’s aging process, we recommend semi-annual visits to Pet Medical Center Sunland. During those visits, we perform a nose to tail examination and evaluate your pet’s diet. We recommend changing your pet’s food and adding joint or vitamin supplements depending on their individual needs. If need be, we also discuss pain management if your senior dog or cat has developed arthritis.

Letting go of your pet can be very difficult. The veterinarians and staff at Pet Medical Center Sunland do everything we can to comfort you and make your dog or cat’s passing a loving experience. We allow you to be present with your pet through the entire euthanasia process if desired. We also have a pet loss library and referrals for pet loss support to help you manage your loss.
