Meet the Veterinarians of Pet Medical Center Sunland
Leila Afshar, DVM
Dr. Afshar grew up in Colorado and received her DVM degree from Colorado State University in 2007. After graduation, she moved to Los Angeles and completed a 1 year rotating internship at the prestigious VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital. Dr. Afshar has worked for Pet Medical Center at the Granada Hills location since 2014. She purchased Pet Medical Center Sunland in 2019. She strives to provide personalized, progressive care and enjoys educating clients.
Dr. Afshar has had advanced training in veterinary dentistry and ultrasound. Her interests also include surgery, emergency medicine, and dermatology.

Dr. Afshar shares her home with a Persian rescue cat named The Floof and 2 senior dogs, Sandy and Douglas. In her free time she enjoys cooking, music, and golf.
